Session 3:

Livescribe Pen to Enhance Instruction

Monday, July 22, 2013 - 2:00pm to 6:00pm
As teachers and parents alike know, students and studying rarely mix well. Amidst homework, sports practices, and other extracurricular activities – studying is usually at the bottom of the list. However, new edtech tools can help students study smarter. One favorite study tools for students is the LiveScribe Smartpen.
**Livescribe smartpen** captures everything students hear, draw and write during class, allowing them to simply tap the ink on their notebooks to play back everything recorded at that moment. The smartpen then transfers all their notes and recordings to a desktop, laptop, tablet, or other mobile device, so students can study anytime, anywhere. They can search for key phrases and create custom digital notebooks to better organize their test prep notes. Smartpens are useful study tools for creating interactive vocabulary flash cards, practicing essay prompts, and recording tutoring sessions when preparing for the upcoming standardized tests.
