During the three day iLead for Teachers, participants will develop skills and use tools to meet the needs and challenges of the modern day educational environment by incorporating the latest information technology practices into their daily routines. Participants will receive the appropriate hardware to become 21st century educators. They will use these tools to integrate the Common Core Standards.



iLead for Teachers: A Workshop Series for Innovative Educators


Session 1:

Leading with 21st Century Tools

Date: July 8, 2014- 415
Location: 89 St., Bay Ridge Learning Support Center, 415 – 89th Street, 4th floor conf. room, Brooklyn, NY 11209

Time: 9:00 am to 2 pm

Objective: Participants will develop skills and use tools to create a vision of a 21st Century Classroom that will enhance teaching and learning in your school. Training in the use of digital tools will provide teachers with the skills to use their device as an organizational, productivity and communication tool.


Session 2:

Blended Learning Models

Date: July 10, 2014- 415 89 St.
Location: 89 St., Bay Ridge Learning Support Center, 415 – 89th Street, 4th floor conf. room, Brooklyn, NY 11209

Time: 9:00 am to 2 pm

Objective: Participants will develop skills to help you begin planning for implementing blending learning in your school. You will receive an overview blended learning, come to a decision about what models of blended learning will work for you, and you will leave with supporting documents to help you get started.


Session 3:

Orchestrating a Blended Learning Classroom

Date: July 11, 2014- 415 89 St.
Location: 89 St., Bay Ridge Learning Support Center, 415 – 89th Street, 4th floor conf. room, Brooklyn, NY 11209

Time: 9:00 am to 2 pm

Objective: Participants will develop skills and use tools to navigate the blended learning classroom that will enhance teaching and learning in their schools. In this session educators will explore the power of Innovative technology instruments to enhance instruction as well as student performance.
