We need educators in our schools who understand and model technology literacy and fluency. This workshop will provide participants with the ability to integrate iPad technology into their practice in order to become a more efficient educator. Participants will discover what educational apps are available and how they can be used in classroom instruction as well as apps that can be used for increased productivity.

Objective: To provide School Educators with the skills to integrate iPad technology into their everyday practice.

Class Description:
This follow up workshop is being offered to educators who are familiar with using the iPad & iPad2 so that they can explore and learn how to use key apps on their iPad.

Practical Application:
iPad for Educators- Learn how to use key apps on your iPad. Participants will be exposed to the following apps.
  • Keynote, Pages and Numbers -- Participants will learn how to use Keynote, Pages and Numbers on their iPad.
  • Show Me -- Participants will explore new ways of creating white board activities without an interactive whiteboard.
  • Flipboard -- Bringing information to you from all your news feeds.
  • iTunesU --Participants will learn how to find multiple resources and courses for use in their classroom.
  • iBooks -- Finding free textbooks and resources for your classroom.
  • Sketchpad Explorer -- Participants will explore this dynamic geometry app for learning mathematics.
